Trained Staff
We have a highly trained and motivated staff team at Discovery Education. Each member of staff carries (as a minimum): First aid at work, Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding lvl 2, Food hygiene lvl 2, Fire safety, Equality & Diversity and Prevent training.

Initial enquiry
Please get in contact with us by either sending us an email, a referral form or filling in the online enquiry form.
We will get back to you as soon as possible and we can start the rest of our checks. If you have any initial questions, please just let us know!
Suitability check and placement
Once we have all the relevant information, we can then start to organise which of our centres would be the best match for your student. This is based on need, age, location and anything else that we think of that could make a difference in their placement, we know this is an important decision, so we make sure its correct.

Visits and Commissioning
After deciding what centre we think is best, we can arrange a visit by the students key-worker and centre manager. The first meeting will be at a safe space, either school or home, to make sure the student is comfortable. Next steps will be to visit the centre that they will be attending

Onboarding & Transition
If everyone is happy, we can then arrange everything with the school/local authority and start the transition process (an important step to make sure the placement is a success).
Then we are good to go!
We understand that this is a big decision for students and parents. Thats why ‘Environment and relationships’ is at the heart of everything we do. We take our time and use our years of experience and know-how to make sure that every decision around our placements has been thought through. This way the transition process and placement is much more likely to succeed.
